Kamala Shrestha was trafficked to a brothel in Mumbai by one of his relatives in the late 1990s. Buddhi Man, then an occasional visitor to the brothel, rescued and later married Kamala after returning to their village in Nuwakot district. Kamala got pregnant and during pregnancy check- ups, she found out that she has been infected with the deadly viruses, HIV. She kept it as a secret from her husband and inevitably Buddhi Man has also been infected with HIV. Buddhi Man and Kamala are still living in the village with all the physical and social pains. Happy Home officials rescued Bhuban from their home and have him checked up, luckily to find him clean. A sponsorship of USD $20 per month can send him to a school and give a better future. |
