Children receiving educational support

Nepal is perennially listed as one of the poorest Asian countries. Over half of the population lives below the poverty line, surviving on less than $1.25 a day. Access to basic health care is out of reach for 85% of the population and extremely poor sanitation is rampant in all parts of the country, leading to many diseases and early deaths for children.

Many children are put to work at a very young age to help their families with earning money. These children end up spending all of their formative years working in fields and factories instead of going to school and getting an education that could very well help get them and their families out of poverty in the future.

Happy Home supports the families of these children by providing educational support. Learn more about Project B - Providing education to village children.
